This session focuses on how to communicate science effectively to K–12 audiences by adapting language, structure, and examples to different age groups.
Summer is an ASHA-certified, state-licensed speech-language pathologist. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with her Bachelors degree in Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences in 2019. Summer spent 2019 through 2022 working with pediatrics as a Speech-Language Pathology Licensed Assistant in Fargo, ND. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with her Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2024. Summer’s experience with pediatrics includes evaluation and treatment of a variety of disorders and developmental delays in children of all ages. She has a special interest in early intervention with toddlers, as well as treatment of phonological disorders.
